In celebration of the Governor’s School’s 25th Anniversary, the Visual Arts Department presents a special artist talk by program alumna and Google Senior UX Design Manager, Rachel Inman.

Alumni Bio
Rachel Inman, Visual Arts Class of 2007
Rachel Inman is a Senior Staff UX Design Manager at Google where she drives a diverse set of innovative projects across Google Maps and currently leads a team of designers, prototypers, researchers, and writers in shaping new experiences to help people around the world find and explore new places and things to do.
Previously at Google, she led design for augmented reality walking navigation in Google Maps, Google Earth, Project Sunroof, Google Earth Outreach, and Google Apply. Prior to joining Google, she designed experiences for Nike and Samsung at the interactive agency, R/GA. For the past 8 years, she’s enjoyed teaching design classes around the world in New York, Mexico City, Moscow, and Barcelona. She’s been honored to speak about her work in print and on stage at IxDA’s Interaction South America, Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture & Design, and Google’s I/O. Inman earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial design with an emphasis on interaction and urban design from Carnegie Mellon University (CFA ‘11).
